Prayhold

Terms of Use

Effective 8 November 2026

Prayhold is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard App Store EULA). These notes add the few things specific to Prayhold. If anything here conflicts with the EULA, the EULA wins; nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

What Prayhold does — and doesn't

Prayhold is a tool that uses Apple's Screen Time to hold apps you choose until you have paused for a prayer. It is a help for your own intentions, not a security product: you can always remove a hold yourself, in the app or in iOS Settings, and iOS may lift holds in situations outside our control (for example a Screen Time passcode change or an iOS update). Prayhold offers prayers and Scripture for reflection; it is not pastoral, medical or psychological advice.

Content

Original prayers in Prayhold are © Stanislav Batsukov and may be used by you personally within the app. Scripture passages are quoted from the World English Bible, British Edition (public domain), the Reina-Valera 1909 (public domain) and the Bíblia Livre (CC BY 3.0 BR). Book names and references are shown with each passage.

Acceptable use

Use Prayhold on your own device, for yourself. Do not try to circumvent Apple's Screen Time, reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or use it to control another person's device without their informed agreement.

Liability

Prayhold is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for apps that were, or were not, held at a particular moment, or for any loss resulting from your use of the app. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

Who you are dealing with

The app is published by Stanislav Batsukov, a sole proprietor registered in Poland (CEIDG), Warsaw, Poland — support@prayhold.com. These notes are governed by Polish law; if you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence also apply, and you may bring claims there. EU residents can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Changes

We may update these notes when the app changes. The date at the top tells you when. Material changes to subscriptions are communicated by Apple as described above.
